NATIVE TEXAN
CONSTITUTIONAL CONSERVATIVE
Andrew Monty Lloyd

WHERE I COME FROM
Born and raised just south of Dallas in "Little D" - Duncanville. I spent my youth bailing hay, mending fences, camping, hiking, washing windows, water skiing, gardening, playing soccer, going to church, and gathering every merit badge possible in the Boy Scouts of America... With 2 older brothers and one younger (no sisters), it was all action all the time. I was the State's best mascot in junior high and won several competitions in high school for debate and comedic improvisation.
A THRIVING CAREER
After serving a 2-year mission to preach the Gospel in Germany, I came back to Texas, met my beautiful wife of now 27 years, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from UTA - B.A. in English. Then off to Texas Tech University for my Juris Doctorate (law degree). I was peer nominated as the Class Speaker for our 2002 graduation. Passed the Texas Bar exam in 2003. After doing some contract work for mentoring attorneys in downtown Fort Worth, I became an Assistant District Attorney (prosecutor for the State of Texas) in Denton. With much courtroom litigation experience (and four children's mouths to feed), I joined a large national civil litigation firm in their Irving office, taking on federal and state creditor issues and gaining vital experience in the document & evidence rules of Civil Procedure. Time with my family became unbearably short, so in 2006, I "hung my own shingle" and began a solo practice in family law, criminal defense, probate matters, and civil litigation. Although my private practice has had several iterations over the years (partners and name changes), I have employed many associates and paralegals under my tutelage for two decades now, with current offices in both Decatur and Denton.
