Judicial Philosophy
Things that Matter on the Bench
I fully subscribe to the tenets of the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct. I believe the judicial office is a public trust and will do all I can to maintain public confidence in our legal system.

Values I'll Uphold
-
Family Matters
-
Every family is affected by every legal action, thus our highest ethical standards must be upheld
-
-
Constitutional Limitations
-
Staying within the bounds our divinely-led forefathers established
-
-
No Legislation from the Bench
-
Rulings based on the laws existing by the legislators we've elected
-
-
Impartiality over Popularity
-
Applying the law justly to all people before the Court, regardless of popular movements or fads
-
-
Decorum
-
Maintaining respect & dignity in the Courtroom where attitudes, attire, laws, and rules matter
-
-
Fairness & Equality
-
No catering to special interests or media-promoted groups or concepts; all have a voice
-
-
Tough on Crime
-
The Rule of Law is fundamental to our families and society, lawlessness cannot continue
-
-
Swift Decisions
-
Making determinations quickly, without delay, to keep efficiency and save tax-payers' wallets
-
-
Integrity
-
Maintaining truth and honor in every decision by living the high standards professed
-
-
Due Process
-
Every voice is heard, without bias, prejudice, or prejudgment; upholding impartiality and structure
-
A Statement
" I will strictly adhere to the Constitutions of the United States and Texas to protect your family and the rule of law. If we have no respect within the walls of the Courtroom, we have lawlessness without. "
