A BIT ABOUT ME
Devoted Conservative
I love God, my family, and the freedoms our Constitution grants us! As a conservative Texas native, I believe in honesty, respect, and the rule of law. Some cases deserve swift punishment, while others deserve grace and restitution. The ability to discern between the two requires insight, intelligence, and integrity. I’m a former Assistant District Attorney (prosecutor) and I’ve represented families and individuals in courtrooms across north Texas for over 22 years in multiple areas of the law – family, contracts, debt disputes, CPS, criminal, personal injury, etc. My comprehensive legal experience has gained me the requisite skills and abilities to properly manage a courtroom, BUT the real blessing has been the personal and practical knowledge gleaned from each and every person I’ve met along the way, be they Judge, jury, attorney, officer, professional, client, or other.
Knowledge + Experience = Wisdom. Wisdom, impartiality, objectivity, and efficiency are true marks of the Judicial Office. Our local Judges and Lawyers have recognized my abilities to resolve conflict. As an appointed and paid Certified Mediator (mediation is an out-of-court settlement process) for hundreds of cases over the years, I’ve had the benefit to see both sides of the issues, and to help parties make agreements to settle their disputes. This has saved clients, taxpayers, and the Courts thousands of dollars and hours in legal warfare! I’ve been married to my sweet Inga for 27 years; we have 4 children, and 1 grandchild (with another on the way). We moved to Sunset to escape the city and corruption. This is home – mine and yours. As your next District Court Judge, I will continue to devote my time and talents to serve the public trust, to honor justice, and preserve the sanctity of our inalienable rights.
